The BIG Reunion Dinner Cookout





































We had a choice to eat out like everyone does.  It is hassle free, way cheaper (considering how much we got slaughter by the morning market merchants during festive season) and perhaps tastier too with all the great chinese restaurants offering up tantalising menu sets to suit every tom, dick or harry.  But seeing I hardly get a chance to cook full course chinese for whole family,  not to mention sourcing for local ingredient, it does seem like an attractive choice albeit an oily one in the kitchen.  The menu - Singapore Chilli Crab (which a Malaysian cook in Netherland reminded me its Malaysian Chilli Crab lah!), Grandma's Soup of Roasted Pork Knuckle, Sea Cucumber, Fish Maw, Prawns and all things expensive, Yam Basket with Tung Pou Kai Ting, Steamed Open Prawns with Fish Paste and Salted Duck Egg Yolk, Stir Fry Scallops, Fried Chicken (for the kids), Steamed Pomfret and Ju Hur Char ... seems a lot for only 5 adults in our household but, worth every effort because frankly, its nice eating at home.  Wanna take a guess what follows after the eating???
