This is our last batch of salad from our first seeding. Thankfully, MIL reseeded two new varieties before EHEC hit the country so its great that we don´t have to wait that long for it. At the current moment, the authorities are still struggling to locate the deadly strain so that only means, eat more cooked vegetables or something from our garden at the moment.
I made a small batched of pesto sauce last night with a handful of basil leaves, garlic, parmesan, olive oil and pinenuts. I also grilled some pieces of shrimps before sprinkling them with Italian Spicy Herbs to be served at the side. Hub´s is of course, without seafood but instead with chicken meat.
